Athlone Town v Wexford Youths falls victim to rain

The Airtricity League First Division game between Athlone Town and Wexford Youths scheduled to be played at 7.45pm on Friday evening (this evening) has fallen victim to the heavy rainfall experienced in the midlands this afternoon.
A brief messages from Athlone Town stated, "Tonight's game with Wexford Youths is off following a pitch inspection. Two hours of torrential thunderstorms have made pitch unplayable."
A rescheduled date will be announced shortly.
