O'Connor signs for Shamrock Rovers

Stephen Kenny on Tuesday bolstered his Shamrock Rovers squad with the addition of Shane O'Connor from Cork City.
The left back had attracted interest from both Kenny and Dundalk at the beginning of the 2012 season, but then signed with the Leesiders in early February. Since then, the Corkonian has had limited opportunities to impress at Turner's Cross but will now join the Hoops, who lie currently in fourth position.
O'Connor has previously appeared for the Irish National squad at Under 21 level and had returned to play in the Airtricity League after spells with Ipswich and Liverpool.
