Dean Marshall joins Bray Wanderers
Bray Wanderers have confirmed the signing of Drogheda United winger Dean Marshall.
Marshall has failed to make an impact at Hunky Dorys Park since making the move from UCD at the beginning of the current campaign. The tricky winger has featured just seven times for Mick Cooke’s side with five of those appearances coming off the bench. However, he did score on his United debut in the opening game of the season against Shamrock Rovers.
The former Coventry City youth player began his League of Ireland career with Bohemians in 2009 but failed to break into the first team and moved to Sligo Rovers in search of regular football. He played just sixteen times for the Bit o’Red before joining First Division side Athlone Town for the conclusion of the 2010 campaign.
The 22 year old becomes Pat Devlin’s eight capture of the summer and moves to the Carlisle Grounds in hope of replicating the form he produced for the Students last campaign. He started 34 times for Martin Russell’s side and found the net on five occasions as he excelled on the wing.
Marshall could make his Seagulls debut on Saturday when League Two Bradford City face Bray in a mid-season friendly.
Meanwhile, Setanta Sports have announced they will broadcast three Airtricity League games live in the next few weeks.
