New Owners For Cork

News has broken this evening that Cork City FC's examiner, Kieran Mc Carthy has accepted a bid for the club from property developer Tom Coughlan. Nothing has been officially confirmed but an announcement is expected to be made on Friday confirming the new owners.

Mr Coughlan has already put in a bid for The Horseshoe Bar which is just outside the the main entrance to the stadium. It is expected that Coughlan will convert it into a clubhouse and corporate area for supporters.

According to local radio in Cork, the bid of Danny Drew was rejected and Coughlan's bid was then accepted. Mr Coughlan wasn't available to speak on the matter as he is currently out of the country.
