Local Dundalk fans get behind the club
With Dundalk FC facing closure, four local die-hard fans have organised and are running a concert to raise much needed funds for their local club. The concert will take place on Sunday, August 5th in Oriel Park & doors open at 8pm. Tickets will be on sale outside the Marshes Shopping Centre this Saturday, July 21st and will also be available at the venue on the night. Tickets are priced €10 & drinks on the night priced €3. All funds raised will go towards saving this great club.
The line-up for the night includes local bands The Trampz, Jinx Lennon, The Malarkeys, The Curtain Thieves and DJ Baz Finnegan. The Trampz recently sold out their gig at the Spirit Store and a repeat performance would be very welcome indeed.
There will also be a raffle on the night to generate extra funds. Prizes will include some old Dundalk Memorabilia (kindly donated by ex-players & fans). Several former Dundalk legends will make guest appearances and some may even address the crowd.
With absolutely no budget to work off, the concert will be run thanks to everyone (organisers, bands, bar staff & security) kindly giving their time for free on the night.
Look out for the lads, this Saturday at Marshes Shopping Centre, selling tickets from their well decorated, make-shift camper van which made it back to Dundalk from Poland last month.
