Extratime.ie Teams of the Week #1

Extratime’s Team of the Week Awards returns for the remainder of the 2012 Airtricity season.

Each week our team of reporters will choose the best eleven performers from both the Premier and First Division. Appearing on the site on Sundays, the Team of the Week will recognise the best talent the League of Ireland has on show.
 

The criteria are simple with players earning a place on the team based only on performances in any league games that take place in the period from the previous Monday up to and including the Sunday the team appears.
 

We will endeavour to produce a realistic starting eleven so that all positions are covered, though this may not always be possible.
 

So without further ado, we present the first Extratime Teams of the Week for 2012:
