Coughlan departs from Dundalk
Dundalk FC manager Sean McCaffrey has confirmed that winger Gareth Coughlan has left the club.
Coughlan joined the Lilywhites in January following a successful trial but he only made a handful of appearances having failed to break into McCaffrey's starting XI.
The 22 year-old joined from Leinster Senior League side Sacred Heart having already tasted the League of Ireland Premier Division with Bray Wanderers and St Patrick's Athletic where he suffered a broken leg.
He made his return to the league with Dundalk but his spell at Oriel proved unsuccessful.
Coughlan is the first player to leave Dundalk this summer with many more expected to follow due to the club's current financial position.
