Three Euro 2012 finalists were in friendly action on Wednesday night. Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands all recorded wins as their big kick-off draws ever closer.

Sweden overcame Iceland 3-2 with an early strike from Ibrahimovic being followed by goals from Ola Toivonen and Christian Wilhelmsson.

Spain ran out comprehensive 4-1 winners over South Korea despite missing the players from Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao, who were involved in Friday’s final of the Copa del Rey. Fernando Torres opened the scoring after just three minutes and Xabi Alonso added a penalty after the Koreans had equalised. Santi Cazorla and Alvaro Negredo completed the scoring for Vincent Del Bosque’s side.

The Netherlands, meanwhile, made amends for their weekend defeat to Bulgaria and put away Slovakia 2-0 thanks to an own goal by Salata and a 77th minute strike from Rafael van der Vaart.
