FIFA 13 set to thrill

With an exciting summer of football set to entertain fans both domestically and internationally, now there is something else to look forward to as a new instalment in the EA Sport FIFA series is set to thrill.

EA Sports title FIFA 13 will contain revolutionary changes with the largest and deepest feature set in the history of the franchise, as announced this week.

Regarded as the leading football game on the market, FIFA has hit ground-breaking new levels in recent years, with producers striving to improve the game each year.

The changes in FIFA 13 will include the introduction of Attacking Intelligence, which enables players to analyse space, work harder and smarter to break down defences, and think two plays ahead. Players now possess the intelligence to create, curve, or alter runs to capitalize on openings as they occur, make runs that pull defenders out of position to open passing channels for teammates, and better position themselves for new attacking opportunities.

Another feature being introduced is the unique new dribbling system. Inspired by World Player of the Year Lionel Messi, Complete Dribbling allows players to use precise dribble touches combined with true 360° mobility with the ball when facing opponents. This feature is also extended to the First Touch Control which eliminates the near perfect touch and brings an element of uncertainty to a players first touch.

EA have also improved the Player Engine feature of the game which determines players’ stamina and morale throughout a match, as well as integrating Tactical Set Pieces into the game. This feature allows users to create

dangerous and unpredictable free-kicks utilising their most suitable players.

Executive Producer of FIFA 13, David Rutter said, “We are perfecting the best sports game in the world with innovations that capture all the drama and unpredictability of real-world football.

“These are game-changing innovations that will revolutionize our artificial intelligence, dribbling, ball control and collisions to create a true battle for possession across the entire pitch, and deliver freedom and creativity in attack.”

The game will also feature an improved Career Mode; new features to enhance the FIFA Online mode; multiple new benefits for the live service EA Sports Football Club; and complete authenticity with more than 500 officially licensed clubs including the Airtricity League.

The game will be released later this year, and will be available on most formats.
