St Pats CY march into LSC semi-finals

Goals from Alan Murphy, Dean Young and Andy Doolan fired St Pats CY into the semi-finals of the Leinster Senior Cup on Monday as the LSL side emphatically overcame their Airtricity League opponents Bray Wanderers.

 

Bray sent out a relatively inexperienced side and were made to pay the price against a St Pats team that currently lie third in the Leinster Senior League Sunday Senior Division.

 

Alan Murphy put the home side ahead shortly before half time, with Dean Young heading home a free kick just five minutes after the re-start to give his side a commanding lead. The tie was wrapped up just seven minutes later when Andy Doolan scored from 25 yards.

 

St Pats now join Shamrock Rovers, UCD and Shelbourne in the draw for the semi-finals.
