The day will  see the club mark the 25th anniversary of the last game in Glenmalure Park in Milltown. Along with the Shamrock Rovers Heritage Trust, the club has organised a walk from Glenmalure Park in Milltown to Tallaght Stadium tomorrow evening.

The Hoops will be missing Kerrea Gilbert (hamstring), Ciaran Kilduff (broken metatarsal), Stephen O’Donnell (knee cartilage) and Conor Winn (back).

Rovers manager Stephen Kenny is expecting his side to bounce back from last Friday night's defeat at Inchicore.

“Everyone was disappointed, to say the least, with the defeat last Friday. And I think how we respond to it is very important. It’s always important to respond to a defeat like that in a positive way, to roll our sleeves up and make sure that we’re willing to fight hard for each other on the night. I’ll be expecting the team to respond in the right way tomorrow night.”

DUNDALK
8th placed Dundalk come into the game on the back of a 2-1 over Longford Town in the EA Sports Cup on Tuesday. They drew 0-0 with Shelbourne in their last league game at Oriel Park last Friday

Manager Seán McCaffrey will recall Ben McLaughlin to the visitors squad for the game. However the Louth club will be without Nathan Murphy (toe) and Mark Griffin (groin).

Dundalk defender Liam Burns is expecting a tough game at the home of the champions.

“They’re expected to win every game no matter who they’re playing. Even though they got beaten 5-1 last week, I expect a very difficult game. We have got to go there and concentrate on ourselves and what we do. I think we have got players up front who can maybe hurt them.

Referee: Graham Kelly.
