EA Sports 2nd Round draw made

The 2012 EA Sports Cup started with goals aplenty on Monday night as the opening six games produced a spectacular 26 goals. There were no surprises on the cards however as Cork City, UCD, Drogheda United, Finn Harps, Monaghan United and Shelbourne all beat lower league opposition to progress to the next round.

The draw for the Second round took place on Tuesday with ties due to be played on Monday / Tuesday 9th, / 10th April. There are four all Premier Division ties with the rest of the games pairing a Premier team against First Division opposition. SD Galway, second last in the First Division, will be up against Premier Division table toppers Shamrock Rovers.
