Knight hoping for Glentoran comeback

Glentoran striker Leon Knight believes that his side can get themselves a Setanta Cup semi-final spot despite being two goals down from their first leg.
Glentoran face an uphill battle after they were defeated 2-0 by Sligo Rovers at The Showgrounds on Monday, but the 29 year old is confident that his side can get themselves back in to the game.
“We’re still in it, it’s only 2-0", he said. “They’ll be taking a long trip down to our ground in East Belfast in a couple of weeks so hopefully we can get our act together and pull it back.”
Knight, a recent signing for Glens, expressed his dismay at the loss, saying he was disappointed but that Glentoran “lost against the better side on the night.”
The former Chelsea and Swansea striker admitted that Sligo were simply too good for the Belfast side. “We could’ve done better, everyone could’ve done better. We just never got going in the first half and they got the goal. Second half we did better but they were also up to the task as well and got another goal and really dented our confidence.”
“The Setanta Cup is a good competition to be in. We’re trying to go as far as possible but it’s an uphill task right now being 2-0 down but we will have to wait and see and give it our best shot back at the Oval.”
The second leg will take place on Tuesday the 20th of March at The Oval in Belfast.
