Dundalk seal Walsh signing
Dundalk FC have announced the signing of former Waterford United winger Paul Walsh.
The 23 year-old joins Dundalk having started his League of Ireland career with Limerick FC in 2008 where he had been studying in University of Limerick. In 2009 he moved on to his hometown club, Waterford United where he cut short his spell and departed for Australia.
Walsh returned to Waterford for a second spell in 2010 for the First Division season run in when the Blues finished second to Derry City before losing a playoff against Monaghan United.
Walsh joined junior side Waterford Bohemians soon after and then returned to Waterford United for a third spell before making the move to the Lilywhites.
Walsh becomes new manager Seán McCaffrey's fourteenth signing ahead of the 2012 season having already brought Peter Cherrie, Ger Hanley, Eoghan Osborne, Derek Foran, Liam Burns, Gareth Coughlan, Nathan Murphy, John Mountney, Chris Shields, Stephen McDonnell, Mark Griffin, Shane O’Neill and Gary Shanahan to Oriel Park.
With the season fast approaching, McCaffrey will be looking to hoping to finalise his squad over the coming days.
