Judge: Structures in place for CSKA loan deal

News broke last night of two potential loan signings for Limerick FC; signings that if completed, will raise eyebrows around the Airtricity League. Dawid Janczyk and Lubos Kalouda have arrived in Limerick ahead of a trial period with the club. Extratime.ie caught up with club general manager Kieran Judge, as he shed some light on the potential transfer coup.

“As a growing club, we have managed to open up an awful lot of links in the past three years. We regularly attend summits with clubs from all over Europe and have gained contacts in the English Premier League, Russia and the Netherlands to name a few. “

Speculation arose as to whether or not this appeared a publicity stunt, but Kieran Judge confirmed otherwise. “The structures for a loan deal are in place, yes. Pending club approval both can be signed. It’s up to us really, once we have a look at them. They will take part in a friendly tonight, and will train with the club during the week, so we can monitor them.”

The players in question, Janczyk and Kalouda are recipients of international acclaim, with the former racking up five international caps for the Polish senior team. Kalouda himself cost CSKA Moscow 5.18 million euro when he signed from FC Brno in 2008.

“These players knew about Limerick before they came, it’s no surprise to the players themselves. “

It’s “too early to comment” on whether or not an extension would be possible if Premier Division status was obtained at the end of the season, but the club have not denied it.

When asked if this was the end of the transfer activity regarding Limerick for the upcoming season, Judge gave a suggestive laugh, and simply answered “No”.
