Mullin named WNL Player of the Month
Castlebar Celtic striker Emma Mullin has been named the Bus Eireann Women’s National League Player of the Month for January.
Emma, who was presented with the award today, has been one of the stand-out players in the league contributing no fewer than 10 of her teams 23 goals up to the end of January. Emma also chipped in with another goal for Celtic last weekend.
Emma’s electric form in the Bus Éireann Women’s National League has been rewarded with a call up to Sue Ronan’s Republic of Ireland squad for the forthcoming Algarve Cup. Speaking at the presentation in Bus Áras today League Director Fran Gavin said "The Bus Éireann Women’s National League has provided us with some top quality football, an abundance of goals and no shortage of drama.
"Emma’s performances for Castlebar have been typical of the excellent standards that we have come to expect from the teams involved. I look forward to more of the same from all of the teams as we approach the exciting climax of the league."

The next round of matches in the Bus Éireann Women’s National League takes place this Sunday as Wexford travel to play league leaders, Raheny, Cork Women’s FC entertain Shamrock Rovers and title-chasing Peamount host Castlebar Celtic.
