Striker Chris Mulhall has returned to UCD just one year after departing for Shelbourne.

The striker started his career in the League of Ireland with Shelbourne in 2005 before joining Shamrock Rovers in 2007. He moved on to UCD for the 2009 season.

Mulhall was part of the UCD team that gained promotion in 2009, winning the First Division title. He stayed with The Students and helped them stay in the Premier Division. Mulhall departed at the end of the 2010 Premier Division season and joined Shelbourne.

"It was a difficult year last year for myself, obviously it was great to be involved with Shelbourne as we gained promotion and played in a Cup Final in the Aviva. But from my own point of view I wanted to play more football so it was clear I had a decision to make at the end of last season. I am delighted to be back with UCD and it has been great to get back training with this group of players."

Chris played over 60 times in his first spell with UCD and he is eager to add to his tally of 11 goals for the club come the new season.
