Shamrock Rovers have announced the re-signing of Scottish central defender Craig Sives.

Sives joined the Hoops in March of 2009, signing for new manager Michael O’Neill following an injury ravaged few years at SPL side Hearts, which included loan periods at Partick Thistle, Dundee FC and Queen of the South.

He made his debut for Shamrock Rovers in an FAI Cup game against Drogheda United on 13 June and went on to win the club’s Young Player of the Year award in his debut season. Over the past two years Craig made 45 league appearances as Rovers won back to back league titles.
