Students sign four for 2012 season

UCD have confirmed that four players have put pen to paper on deals to keep them at the club for the 2012 season. The club also confirmed that two players have departed.
Goalkeeper Ger Barron has re-signed for The Students after missing the finish to the season with a foot injury. Barron started 29 games last season and will look to keep the number one jersey to himself again this season.
Robbie Benson and David O'Connor will also appear in the blue of UCD during the 2012 season after also penning new deals. Benson missed much of the season through injury and will look to make a bigger impact this season. O'Connor started 25 times for UCD while completing his degree in the university.
One new addition to the club see's Gary Burke join the club. The 20-year-old midfielder makes the move from Bohemians and will look to get a fresh start with The Student.
The club have also confirmed that two players have departed and joined other Premier Division sides. Darren Meenan has left the club and has signed a deal with St. Patrick's Athletic. The other to leave the club is Dean Marshall. The midfielder has signed for Drogheda United.
