Lynch joins Sligo Rovers
Sligo Rovers have announced the signing of Lee Lynch for the 2012 Airtricity League season.
Lynch moves from Drogheda United to sign for Rovers. The Limerick born player previously spent over two years with West Bromich Albion in England, where he played 16 times for their reserve side. He was a member of the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain before the move to Hunky Dorys Park.
The 20-year-old joins the Bit o' Red on a one-year-deal. He is a former Republic of Ireland under-19 international and becomes the 13th senior player of Paul Cook’s squad for 2012. Cook said: “Lee is an exciting young player and already has experience in the league with Drogheda."
"He is ambitious and I think he will enjoy being part of our side. We will be exploring more options in midfield but I think in Lee we have a player who can play a good part in what we're trying to do this season.”
