Ross Gaynor has joined Sligo Rovers for the 2012 season.

Gaynor leaves Dundalk to join the Bit o' Red and becomes the club's fifth new signing for next season. He has represented the Republic of Ireland at several levels including under-21 and under-23.

The former Millwall, Cobh Ramblers and Drogheda United winger becomes the 12th senior player in Paul Cook's squad for the next campaign.

Cook said: "Ross is another player I have admired in the league in recent seasons. He is very talented and I think there is more to come from him. I'm delighted he has agreed to join us. It is important we are strong in every position and already we have good options down the left side."
