Women's National League kicks off

Sunday marks an historic occasion in Irish football as the very first Bus Eireann Women's National League kicks off with three matches taking place around the country.

Fresh from their Champions League run, Peamount United will look to build on their success when they journey south to take on Cork Women's FC at CIT in Cork.

Shamrock Rovers will look to emulate the success of their league-winning men's side and have every chance of doing so with a strong squad taking shape. They should face stiff opposition though at home in Tallaght stadium, with Raheny United their opponents.

In the south-east, Ferrycarrig Park is the venue as Wexford Youths host Castlebar Celtic. All matches kick off at 2pm. Extratime.ie will be bringing you full coverage of the inaugural Bus Eireann Women's National League.
