Good evening from Terryland Park. We will be providing in depth coverage of tonight's action here in Galway as the home side welcome UCD for a crunch encounter between two sides at the wrong end of the table.

• 7.00 p.m. Galway's goalkeepers have been warming up for the last ten minutes and UCD are now emerging from the dressing rooms.
• Tonight's referee is Declan Hanney, who also refereed Galway's victory up in Ballybofey last weekend. A good omen maybe.
• 7.08 p.m Both sides are now beginning their warm-ups. For the stattos among you, UCD have more cones on the pitch, and are wearing their grey training tops. Galway are in white as always.
• 7.29 p.m. The Team News is in and Galway have made three changes from Monday night, with Jason Molloy the interesting inclusion up front. For the complete line-ups go to the Matchzone section
• After a glorious day here in the West, it has now become overcast with a threat of rain. Hardly surprising.
• 7.39 p.m Both sides have just returned to the dressing room. At the moment I would estimate a crowd in the region of 1,000 by kick off time.
• 7.45 p.m. Teams a bit late coming out, but should be up and running within the next few minutes.
• UCD KICK OFF
• 1' Both sides line up in a 4-4-2 formation
• GOAL Disaster in the first minute for home side as Shane Fitzgerald ghosts in on the left of the box and pulls back for Brian King to rifle in from six yards.
• Murphy shoots wide from the edge of the box. Jay O'Shea causing problems for Conor Kenna already but a dream start for Pete Mahon's side
• 7' Murphy again shoots harmlessly wide after good lay off by Jorgensen.
• 9' Jeff Kenna booked for late challenge. Harsh.
• Galway with lots of possession but not making any inroads as they approach the penalty area....crowd getting restless already.
• RED CARD - John Lester sent off for a desperate lunge on Shane Fitzgerald. Deemed to be last man by Hanney but again harsh.
• 15' SUB for GALWAY Jason Molloy's short appearance is over as Seamus Conneely enters and Kenna moves to the heart of the defense.
• 19' Kenna slides Davoren away on left flank but the winger fails to pick out John Russell and the danger is cleared by McMillan for Galway's second corner.
• 20' Alan Murphy tries his luck from 20 yards again but is wide left once more.
• 21' Murphy's radar is still out of sync as he volleys over but Galway have responded well to a nightmare start
• 26' UCD's third attack, their first two yielded a goal and a sending off, and they almost make it 2-0. Kenna blocks a cross on the edge of the six yard box and then has to block Timmy Purcell's effort behind for a corner.
• 30' Jay O'Shea continues the run of wayward shooting as UCD begin doubling up when he gets on the ball....they can afford to.
• 31' Jorgensen turns sharply ten yards out but has his shot partially blocked by Alan McNally. Declan Hanney disagrees though and awards a goal kick to the ire of the home crowd.
• YELLOW CARD - BRIAN KING following a tussle with Murphy.
• 36' Another UCD attack and again they go close. Conneely recovers well at the expense of a corner, from which the ball pinged around the area before Purcell rasped Rogers hands with a shot from seven yards.
• 40' O'Shea embarks on a mazy dribble which ends up with a great chance. His left foot shot beats Gregg but ends up being cleared off the line by Conor Kenna.
• 41' From the corner, John Russell slips as the ball comes to him on the penalty spot and another opportunity to draw level is gone.
• The home crowd are willing their side on as they gamely battle with 10 men but Shane Fitzgerald is proving a constant menace on the left flank for UCD.
• 45' O'Shea and Russell combine well and the winger bears down on goal, but is denied by a great save from Matt Gregg who pushes his effort behind from close range. Another heartstopping moment for the lively crowd.
• 8.35 p.m. HALF TIME
• Breathless at half time here....off for a cuppa.
• Half time stats: Galway - Shots:10 On Target:1 - Corners:4....UCD - Shots on target:3 - Corners:2.......could possibly be 3-3 at this stage though.
• 8.50 p.m. Teams back out on the pitch for the second half.
• No changes on either side as the second half begins.
• 48' O'Shea high and wide once more from distance.
• 53' McCulloch leads a breakaway and the ball is eventually worked to Davoren who forces Gregg to push behind as Galway continue to force the pace.
• 55' Pat McWalter cuts in from the left then dribbles a shot well wide of goal.
• 56' Shane Fitzgerald beats offside trap and speeds in off the left touchline but Rogers denies the winger from an acute angle.
• UCD finally beginning to pass the ball with purpose and make Galway do all the running.
• GOAL-ALAN MURPHY.....Murphy takes a left foot shot from outside the area which takes a wicked deflection and loops over Gregg and gives Galway a fortuitous, but deserved equaliser.
• 63' YELLOW CARD - Shane Fitzgerald.
• Galway were appealing desperately for a handball in the lead-up to the equaliser but it's irrelevant now....news filtering through that Harps have taken the lead is not good though.
• This game could go either way.....UCD still looking dangerous when get near the Galway box.....Murphy has penalty claim waved away.
• 68' Shane Duggan's deflected shot has Rogers beaten but drifts to the left of the post. A minute later Pat McWalter drills a shot that shaves a coat of paint off the same post.
• 73' SUB for UCD - Shane Duggan is replaced by Ronan Finn.
• Galway defence beginning to tire....Rogers has to be out swiftly to deny Darren Meenan.
• 79' YELLOW CARD - JAY O'SHEA.
• Galway haven't played as well since their goal and will take the point at this stage.....UCD are committing lots of bodies forward as the home side tire.
• 84' GOAL - UCD - Timmy Purcell.... Ronan Finn slices a volley in the area but it falls invitingly for Purcell who fires high into the net from six yards.

• 95' Fitzgerald leaps high and heads goalward but Gregg gets down to his rigt to save......and Hanney blows the full-time whistle.....
