Euro 2012 Play-off teams decided

The UEFA EURO 2012 play-off draw will be made in Krakow on Thursday 13 October, as eight teams  will contest the last four available places in Poland-Ukraine.

 

After Tuesday night's final round of games, the eight teams have been decided as have the seedings for the play-off draw. After the Republic of Ireland's 2-1 win over Armenia, they have been placed in the seeded side of the draw alongside Czech Republic, Croatia and Portugal. Portugal had started the day in top spot but defeat to Denmark seen them drop into second.

 

Bosnia and Herzegovina almost forced France into the play-off, but on 78 minutes in the Stade de Frane Samir Nasri scored a penalty to put France through and the Bosnian's into the unseeded pot. Due to Serbia's 1-0 loss to Slovenia, Estonia also enter the pot. Turkey and Montenegro complete the line-up.

 

Sweden qualified for the finals as the best Group runner up.

 

Seeded: Republic of Ireland, Czech Republic, Croatia and Portugal

 



Unseeded: Bosnia, Estonia, Turkey and Montenegro
