Former St Pat’s and Drogheda midfielder Keith Fahey played 90 minutes in Birmingham City’s 2-1 win against NK Maribor in Slovenia.
Premier League
Kevin Doyle(ex St Pat’s and Cork City) and ex Bohs utility man Stephen Ward both played the full match as Wolves lost to Newcastle 2-1. Doyle had a late goal disallowed in this game.
Another current Irish international Shane Long scored his third goal of the season to put West Brom two nil up away to Sunderland. The home side hit back with two goals before half time and the game ended 2-2. Long played the full game at the Stadium of Light. Ex Cork City man David Meyler came on as a sub for Sunderland in the 91st minute of this game. Meyler tweeted after the game @DavidMeyler “Thanks to everyone for the texts and tweets. I'm still in shock I played, so happy to be back. Pity we didn't get the win we deserved but keep the faith Arsenal next. #HawayTheLads#RedWhiteArmy#SAFC”

Norwich City’s ex Shelbourne attacker Wes Hoolahan captained the Canaries at Old Trafford as they went down 2-0. Hoolahan played 85 minutes of this match.
Seamus Coleman (ex Sligo Rovers) played 59 minutes of the Merseyside derby as his Everton side lost 2-0 to Liverpool. Coleman said after the game on twitter @seamiecoleman23 “Gutted about today’s result. We know how much it means to all the fans and were just as disappointed. Felt I could have done better myself”
Ex UCD and Derry striker Conor Sammon came on as a sub with five minutes remaining in his side’s 2-0 defeat at Aston Villa.

Midweek Games.
Damien Delaney (ex Cork City) came on as a 90th minute substitute for Ipswich as the beat West Ham 1-0.
Former Derry and Galway ‘keeper David Forde played 90 minutes for Millwall as they lot 2-1 to Watford.
Ex Bohemians. Shels, Longford, Galway and Kilkenny City midfielder Gary Deegan came on in the 64th minute for Coventry City in their 2-2 draw with Blackpool. Ex Cork City attacker Roy O’Donavan was substituted in the 77th minute for Coventry, one minute after O’Donavan was taken off, the aforementioned Deegan scored the Sky Blues first goal. Former Waterford and Shamrock Rovers striker Noel Hunt played 86 minutes as his Reading side came from two goals down to beat Bristol City 3-2. He tweeted @boyhunt “that’s what it’s all about!! Never for one minute did I stop believing in we ran for every ball and shows some great heart and pride.”
Gary Dicker (ex UCD)played 90 minutes and set up Brighton’s first goal against Crystal Palace but the Eagles hit back with three goals in the last ten minutes to win 3-1.
Weekend Games
Noel Hunt came on with eight minutes left as Reading drew 0-0 with Middlesbrough.
Ex Dundalk winger Daniel Kearns came on with six minutes to go but couldn’t help Peterborough find an equaliser and they lost 2-1 to Doncaster.
David Forde once again played 90 minutes for Millwall as they lost 1-0 to Burnley.
Gary Dicker played 81 minutes for Brighton as they lost 3-1 at Ipswich Town.
Gary Deegan played 90 minutes and Roy O’Donavan played the first half for Coventry as the Sky Blues lost 2-0 at Barnsley.
Keith Fahey played 90 minutes for Birmingham as they beat Nottingham Forest 3-1.
League One
Midweek
Shaun Williams (ex Sporting Fingal, Drogheda and Dundalk) played 90 minutes and scored a penalty to put MK Dons into the lead against Charlton but the Londoners got a late equaliser and it ended 1-1.
Saturday games
Former St Pat’s midfielder Stephen Quinn played 90 minutes for Sheffield United as they lost 2-0 to Charlton.
Ex Cork City player Brian Barry-Murphy came on with 14 minutes remaining in Rochdale’s 2-1 victory against Wycombe.
Having scored a penalty the previous Tuesday Shaun Williams again stepped up to take a spot kick, this time however his kick was saved. It didn’t matter in the end as his MK Dons side went on to win 3-0 against Notts County. Williams played 90 minutes in this game.
Ex Cork City winger Leon McSweeney (ex Cork City) played 90 minutes and got booked during Leyton Orient’s 2-1 win against Preston North End. Former Cork, Longford and Shamrock Rovers frontman Dave Mooney came on after 56 minutes for Orient in this game.
Another ex Cork City man John O’Flynn came on in the 73rd minute Exeter in their 2-0 victory over Oldham. O’Flynn tweeted afterwards @flynny9 “Great to be back and have the winning feeling.”
Former Galway ‘keeper Gregg Fleming played 90 minutes in Chesterfield’s 1-0 defeat by Colchester.
It was a disappointing afternoon for Jonathan Douglas(ex Monaghan) and Niall McGinn ( ex Derry City) as their Brentford side lost 4-0 to Huddersfield. McGinn showed his disappointment on twitter @nmcginn14 “Bad day at the office 2day, we have let ourselves an fans down.”
League One
Former Longford Town defender Richard Rose scored the winner in the fifth minute of injury time to give Dagenham and Redbridge a 2-1 win against Crewe Alexandra.
Alan Bennett (ex Cork City) played 90 minutes for Cheltenham as they beat Bristol Rovers 3-1.
Former Cork City defender Kevin Long played 90 minutes and ex Sligo and Shamrock Rovers striker Padraig Amond played 79 minutes for Accrington Stanley in their 3-2 win at home to Aldershot. Long was booked in this match. Amond tweeted after the game @padraigamond21 “Great win for us today. Can’t buy a goal at the min it’s frustrating but the team got the win which is more important. Getting used to the left wing now.”
Scottish Premier League
Ex Shels striker Richie Foran set up Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s first gaol in their 2-1 win over St Mirren. Foran was substituted in injury time.
Former Shamrock Rovers and Derry City winger Paddy McCourt came on with 11 minutes remaining in Celtic’s 2-0 defeat by Hearts.
Scottish Division One
Thomas Stewart (ex Shamrock Rovers and Derry City) came off the bench with 21 minutes to go as Partick Thistle beat Morton 5-0. Stewart got the fifth goal for Partick in the 89th minute. Stewart’s goal can be seen here:

Ex Galway player Shaun Fagan played 70 minutes and ex Shels and Galway man Marc McCullough played the whole match as their Stirling Albion side beat Brechin 1-0.
