Ex Sligo Rovers man Seamus Coleman played 66 minutes for Everton as they won 3-1 at home to Wigan.
Former Cork City striker played 90 minutes in West Brom’s 3-0 defeat at Swansea.
Two more ex LOI players suffered a 3-0 loss too. Kevin Doyle (ex St Pats and Cork) and Stephen Ward (ex Bohs) played in Wolves’ defeat at home to QPR.
Former Shels attacker Wes Hoolahan played 87 minutes in Norwich’s 2-1 away win at Bolton.
Championship
Gary Dicker Brighton’s former UCD midfielder played 67 minutes in their 1-0 loss at Leicester City.
Ex Galway and Derry ‘keeper David Forde kept a clean sheet in his side’s scoreless draw against West Ham.
Noel Hunt played the whole match as Reading beat Doncaster 2-0
On Monday night three ex LOI players came on as subs in Ipswich’s 3-0 defeat of Coventry. Damian Delaney (ex Cork City) was first to enter the fray for Ipswich coming on after 35 minutes. Another former Cork City player, Coventry’s Roy O’Donovan was next to see action, he came on in the 69th minute. The last former LOI man to come on was Ex Waterford striker Daryl Murphy who made his entrance for Ipswich with eight minutes remaining.
League One
There was almost a full round of League One games on Tuesday night:
Former St Pat’s midfielder Stephen Quinn played 90 minutes in Sheffield Utd’s 3-0 defeat against Huddersfield.
Brian Barry-Murphy (ex Cork City) came on for the last seven minutes for Rochdale as they beat Scunthorpe 1-0.
Dave Mooney Leyton Orient’s ex Shamrock Rovers, Longford and Cork striker played 58 minutes as his side lost 3-1 against Bournemouth.
Jimmy Keohane (ex Wexford) came on after 58 minutes in Exeter’s 1-1 draw against Notts County.
Former Galway United ‘keeper Greg Fleming came on as an 87th minute sub for Chesterfield as they beat Bury 1-0.
Jonathan Douglas (ex Monaghan) and Niall McGinn (ex Derry) both played 90 the full game as Brentford drew with Colchester.
Saturday’s action
Stephen Quinn and Sheffield United made up for their midweek defeat by beating Colchester 3-0. Quinn got his side’s third goal.
Ex Drogheda, Dundalk and Sporting Fingal midfielder Shaun Williams played 90 minutes for MK Dons as they drew 1-1 with Huddersfield.
Dave Mooney set up Leyton Orient’s goal in their game against Oldham but unfortunately for him the away side replied with three goals of their own.
Jimmy Keohane again came on as a sub for Exeter, he came on in the 52nd minute but his side lost 2-0 to Bournemouth.
Greg Fleming played 90 minutes as Chesterfield beat Carlisle 4-1.
Niall McGinn scored Brentford’s only goal as they lost 3-1 at home to Preston. Both he and Jonathan Douglas played 90 minutes for the Bees.
League Two
A full round of Midweek fixtures took place in League two
Alan Bennett (ex Cork City) played 90 minutes as Cheltenham drew 2-2 with Torquay.
Danny Spiller formerly of Longford Town played 77 minutes as Gillingham lost 1-0 to Southend.
KevinLong (ex Cork City) and Padraig Amond (ex Sligo and Shamrock Rovers) both played 90 minutes for Accrington Stanley as they drew 1-1 with Rotherham.
Saturdays Action
Richard Rose (ex Longford) played 89 minutes for Dagenham and Redbridge as they lot 2-1 to Morecombe.
Alan Bennett played 90 minutes in Cheltenham’s 4-1 defeat at AFC Wimbledon.
Kevin Long played the full game for Accrington Stanley as they lost 2-0 at home to Crewe. His team mate Padraig Amond played 74 minutes for Stanley in this game.
Carling Cup
Ex Derry and UCD forward Conor Sammon played 90 minutes for Wigan as they were knocked out of the Carling Cup by Crystal Palace losing 2-1.
Scottish Premier League
Ex Shels striker Richie Foran played 56 minutes before being substituted in Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s 3-1 defeat by Dundee United.
Scottish Division One
James Chambers (ex Shels, Drogheda, Shamrock Rovers and Waterford) played the first half of Hamilton’s 2-2 draw against Raith.
