Shane Long (ex Cork City) played 88 minutes in West Brom’s 1-0 victory over Norwich City for whom Wes Hoolahan came on as a 62nd minute sub.
Former Sligo Rovers man Seamus Coleman played 81 minutes before being substituted in Everton’s 2-2 draw against Aston Villa. Coleman tweeted @seamiecoleman23“Absolutely delighted to be back playing again! Really enjoyed being back on the pitch! Thought we deserved to win today!”
Kevin Doyle (ex St Pats and Cork City) and Stephen Ward (ex Bohs) both played 90 minutes in Wolves 2-0 defeat by Spurs on Saturday.
Championship
Former Galway and Derry ‘keeper David Forde played the whole game for Millwall as they went down 3-0 at Birmingham.
Ex UCD midfielder Gary Dicker played 90 minutes for Brighton as they beat Bristol City 1-0.
Roy O’Donovan (ex Cork City) came on for the final 14 minutes for Coventry as the sky blues won 2-0 at home against Derby.
League One
Former Monaghan midfielder Jonathan Douglas played 90 minutes for Brentford as they won 1-0 away at Wycombe. Former Derry winger Niall McGinn came on as a sub on the hour mark and tweeted @nmcginn14“another great win for the boys2day. Special well done to @rleegk (Brentford ‘keeper Richard Lee). He was outstanding. Also great result for Celtic”
Ex Sporting Fingal, Drogheda, Dundalk and Harps midfielder Shaun Williams played the full game for MK Dons as they lost 3-1 at Sheffield Wednesday. The Owls’ rivals from across town Sheffield United had ex St Pat’s players Stephen Quinn and Dave McAllister in midfield as they drew 1-1 at Scunthorpe. McAllister who also played for Shels only lasted 37 minutes, Quinn played the whole match.
Ex Shamrock Rovers, Longford and Cork frontman Dave Mooney played 90 minutes for Leyton Orient as they drew 1-1 at Chesterfield.
Jimmy Keohane formerly of Wexford Youths came on as a 53rd minute substitute for Exeter City in their 2-0 defeat to Charlton.
Former Cork City man Brian Barry-Murphy came on for the final 3 minutes for Rochdale’s in his side’s 4-2 win at Bury.
League Two
Former Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers striker Padraig Amond played 64 minutes before being substituted in Accrington Stanley’s 1-1 draw against Gillingham. Kevin Long (ex Cork City) also played for Stanley, he played 90 minutes and former Longford Town player Danny Spiller came on for Gillingham for the last 11 minutes in this game too.
Cheltenham Town Captain and ex Cork City defender Alan Bennett played 90 minutes in his side’s 2-0 win over Macclesfield.
Johnstones Paint Trophy
On Tuesday night Padraig Amond came on as a 70th minute sub for Accrington Stanley in their first round tie against Carlisle United. The Carlow man scored with four minutes left to make the score 2-2 and his side went on to win thanks to a last minute winner. Padraig tweeted after the game @padraigamond21 “Delighted with win tonight. Great to be back among the goals too”.
The following night ex Longford Town player Richard Rose was on the winning side for Dagenham and Redbridge against Leyton Orient. Rose came on as a sub at half time as did Leon McSweeney (ex Cork City) for Orient. McSweeney’s team mate Dave Mooney played the full game and it was his goal in the 88th minute that sent the game to penalties. In the shootout Dagenham won 14-13. Mooney and McSweeney both scored penalties for Leyton Orient, and as there was no winner after all 22 players had taken penalties they had to keep going, so Rose actually scored twice from the spot in the shootout.

Ex Shels and Longford full back Sean Dillon played 90 minutes in Dundee United’s 1-1 draw with St Mirren.
Richie Foran (ex Shels) played 85 minutes for Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s 1-1 draw with Hearts.
Scottish Division One
Thomas Stewart the former Derry City and Shamrock Rovers forward gave away a penalty in Partick Thistle’s 2-2 draw against Ross County. Stewart played 57 minutes for Partick in this game.
James Chambers (ex Shelbourne, Shamrock Rovers, Drogheda and Waterford) played 62 minutes for Hamilton Academicals as they lost 1-0 at Queen of the South.
Scottish Division Two
Marc McCullagh ex Shels and Galway United and Shaun Fagan also ex Galway United both played 90 minutes for Stirling Albion in their 2-2 draw against Stenhousemuir.
