The following suspensions and sanctions were issued by the Disciplinary Committee at their meeting on Wednesday, 23rd July 2008. Suspensions are effective as and from Wednesday, 6th August unless otherwise stated. Suspensions are effective at first team level unless otherwise stated.
Bohemians were fined €75 for having a suspended player listed amongst the technical officials for the fixture v Sligo Rovers (13.07.08). (A Championship).
Cobh Ramblers were fined €1,000 and forfeited the match by 3-0 for failing to fulfil an A Championship match v Cork City (05.07.08).
Wayne Colbert (Limerick 37) suspended for ONE (1) eircom League of Ireland match and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Shelbourne (11.07.08). Automatic suspension in next eircom League of Ireland match as per FIFA directive already served.
Cork City were fined €500 for acting in an unprofessional manner regarding the A Championship match v Cobh Ramblers (05.07.08).
Raffaele Cretaro (Sligo Rovers) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.
Paul Donnelly (Kildare County) suspended for ONE (1) eircom League of Ireland match and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Dundalk (11.07.08). Automatic suspension in next eircom League of Ireland match as per FIFA directive already served.
Finn Harps were fined €150 for team misconduct (six players carded) v Cork City (11.07.08).
Finn Harps were fined €200 as a result of an object having been thrown at the referee v Cork City (11.07.08).
Michael Funston (Finn Harps) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.
Alan Keane (Galway United) suspended for TWO (2) competitive matches and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Sligo Rovers (11.07.08). Automatic suspension in next eircom League of Ireland match as per FIFA directive already served and ONE (1) competitive match as and from Wednesday, 6th August.
