Galway announce caretaker boss

Galway United have announced the appointment of John "Jumbo" Brennan as caretaker manager for the remainder of the 2011 season.
John is one of the clubs all-time leading goalscorers, and has also played League of Ireland football for Shamrock Rovers, Sligo Rovers and Dundalk. He has previous coaching experience with Salthill Devon, and has been the manager of the Galway United A championship side in 2011.
John takes charge after the contract between Sean Connor and Galway United Football Club was terminated by mutual agreement on Saturday. His first game in charge will be on Monday evening against UCD at Belfield.
