Ex-LOI Cross Channel - Week 4
Despite the International break for the top tiers of the leagues cross channel, there were still a number of ex-League of Ireland players in action over the last week. There was also some transfer movement that saw Daniel Kearns (Dundalk to Peterborough), Enda Stevens (Shamrock Rovers to Aston Villa in January) and Don Cowan (Longford Town to Stevenage) head eastward to league football in England.
Euro 2012 Qualifying
Two ex LOI men were involved in Ireland’s drab 0-0 draw with Slovakia at the Aviva Stadium. Stephen Ward made his first competitive start and played 90 minutes while his Wolves club mate Kevin Doyle lasted 64 minutes before being substituted.
With the international break there was no action in the Premiership or Championship last week.
