EPL Fantasy Football Gameweek 2 Update

The spectre of server crashes and downtime was no were to be seen for Gameweek 2 as players lost the ability to blame this week's score on anything other than their own dodgy choices.

With an unlimited transfer option available, many choose to change their teams completely and thus this week allowed last week's performances to be assessed and your team altered accordingly without penalty. And many did just that. As a result, only one of our top five players from last week remain in the top places this week.

At the top of the league table, Richard Snowden's Release the Krakens amassed a mighty impressive 83 points. For the last two seasons Darren Bent has been a consistent Fantasy Football performer and with Richard's decision to captain the Villa striker came the bounty of 24 points. Newcastle's Ryan Taylor, Man City's Silva and Wolves Matthew Jarvis made up the bulk of the rest of the points. Despite the high score, zero points were gained for Stoke's Jonathan Walters, who missed a peno.

Only one point behind Richard is Donal Stack's T-Total United. Again the captaining of Bent, with Taylor and Silva earning the most points gave Donal an impressive 77 points for the week. Newcastle United's clean sheets of the last two week's proving a major points getter for many people. (of course I left my two Newcastle defenders on the bench these past two weeks).

Paul Moore's The P Sharps are nine points shy of second, but Paul is the only player from last week to remain in the top five. Completing the top five are Patrick Sinnott's Terenure Turds with the inspirationally named Team from Eoghan Staunton and Keith Hand's Handsy FC in joint fifth.

Fantasy Football Week 2

And so onto this week. Have you used your wildcard yet making it three weeks in a row of completely unpunished transfers? Personally having watched Manchester City play Bolton last week, a maximum trio of Blues players seems required.
