Everton to play Bohs on Monday
Bohemians will welcome English Premier League side Everton to Dalymount Park on Monday night in a friendly which is sure to attract a large crowd.
Following Thursday’s announcement by the Premier League that Everton’s opening game of the season against Tottenham would not go ahead due to the well documented London riots, the Merseyside club were keen to arrange a friendly.
Everton’s official website has confirmed that David Moyes will bring his first team squad to Dublin for Monday night’s game against Pat Fenlon’s Bohs, in preparation for the Toffees encounter with QPR next weekend, which will now be their first league game of the season.
The two sides met in a friendly game back in 2006. On that occassion, the game finished scoreless.
With players such as Tim Cahill and Phil Neville set to line out, there is likely to be a large demand for tickets, which are priced at €15 for adults and €7 for under-12’s.
Tickets can be purchased from the Bohemians ticket office between 9am-3pm on Monday and in the event that tickets are not sold out, fans will be able to pay in at the gate.
Bohs were due to host Dublin rivals Shelbourne in their Leinster Senior Cup semi-final next Tuesday. However, that game has now been postponed as a result of this friendly being arranged.
