World Cup draw completed - Ireland draw Germany

The Republic of Ireland have drawn Germany, Sweden, Austria, Faroe Islands and Kazakhstan in the World Cup Qualifier Group C
Elsewhere Scotland and Wales will face each other, whilst Northern Ireland face a very tough group with Portugal, Russia and Israel. England face Montengro, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, San Marino.

20:26: Sorry fell asleep on my keyboard. The good news is Oceania is underway. Vanuatu, my newly adopted country is still to be drawn.
20:16: Vanuatu has a population of 243,000 ish. I'm thinking with that pool of people, seriously likely you will get to play for the National team if you can play a bit of ball. Their record in Oceania is played 30, won 6, drew 2 and lost 22.

19:31: Round One for the African Region is drawn. There are 24 countries that have to qualify before even reaching the group stage of qualifying. I'll be honest, I didn't know some of these countries existed.
19:29: What about this grouping, Greece, Slovenia, Northern Ireland, Faroe Islands, Andorra... that would be a sweet sweet draw.
19:26: Ireland last qualified for the World Cup 9 years ago now. 2002 is often forgotten for the games and how well we did, overshadowed by the nonsense around the Keane / MacCarthy saga.
