Preview: Shelbourne vs Dundalk

Tolka Park plays host to a top of the table clash on Friday as Shels’ look to banish the poor form that’s dogged them since the break.

Dundalk took top spot last week with an impressive victory away at Kildare and are probably favourites for this one; however both sides are far from their best of late.

Shelbourne are without Damien Brennan, who is suspended. New loan signing, from Drogheda, David McAllister is out with a hamstring injury and Alan Byrne is out with a viral infection with James Keddy doubtful also.

Gary McCabe, on loan from Bray, who was carried from the field Monday night, looks as if he will be fit to play. New signing Andrei Georgescu is also available for selection.

With no new signings to call on just yet, Gill admits he “has great faith in what he has got,” despite seeing some of his targets move elsewhere in recent weeks. Alan Lynch is out with a calf injury and Robbie Farrell is out with a knee injury.

Kick Off at Tolka Park is 8pm.
