Wexford Youths FC manager Mick Wallace has offered his support to the county's senior football side ahead of their momentous Leinster Senior Football Final clash against Dublin at Croke Park on Sunday.

The footballers will compete in their first Leinster Final in 52 years, and the sports enthusiast Wexford Youths manager and owner believes that Jason Ryan's side are more than capable of defeating the Dubs.

Wallace managed a number of the current GAA squad at underage level for Wexford Youths, so he has a close affinity to some of the squad members.

"I'd like to wish the Senior Footballers the best of luck against Dublin on Sunday," Wallace said. "Over the last few years I've watched many of my former under 18's youths play for the Wexford footballers – their present squad are a seriously fine group of athletes and given the right mental approach, are well capable of getting the better of an overrated Dublin side."

Wexford midfielder, Eric Bradley, lined out for the Youths last season in the League of Ireland and he was a member of Wallace's U18 All-Ireland winning soccer squad in 2000, which also contained current Republic of Ireland international Kevin Doyle.
