Bohemians manager Pat Fenlon told Extratime.ie that we was happy with some elements of his team's performance following their 2-0 victory against Drogheda United at Dalymount Park on Friday night.

“I thought in patches it was good. I thought we started the game quite well. Obviously we scored fairly early. We had a lot of possession then. We probably didn't get the tempo that we needed. I thought in the second half we actually played better. We passed the ball better and created a few more chances. I was pleased with the performance.”

Bohs completely dominated the first half but only had a one goal lead at half time. Fenlon did admit that he was concerned that Drogheda may have got back into the game if given the opportunity “Yeah when you have so much of the ball and you create chances and don't take them you think well in every game the other team gets an opportunity and it could be one of those nights when we've got loads of chances and don't take them and if they get one they might take it. You are always concerned with that. As I said I thought that we started the second half well and that put us on the front foot.”

Anto Flood and Christy Fagan linked up well up front for Bohs and Fenlon was happy to have both players starting together “I think that is only the 6th game that we have had them as a pair. It is good to have both of them fit and available to us, particularly at home where we have plenty of possession . I think you have seen tonight that they have got a good understanding and a good partnership between them. It is about keeping both of them fit now.”

The victory over Drogheda completed a very successful week for Bohs following their 2-1 victory at Bray last Monday night. This is a fact which pleased Fenlon.“Yeah we are pleased. Away to Bray is never an easy game. We picked up six points out there, which is quite good. I don't think there's too many teams that will do that this season. Tonight was a game, without being disrespectful to Drogheda that we were expected to win here. We've done that here. It's six points this week and we've made up a little ground on everyone which is good” concluded the Bohemians manager.
