The Dublin Super Cup will now be broadcast worldwide, given two new deals secured by Endemol. The American broadcasting giant FOX has decided to take the pre-season spectacle from the Aviva Stadium on board, as well as SuperSport; the leading African broadcasters in world sport. Both deals include the tournament in their plans up to, and until, the 2013 tournament.

FOX make this their third acquisition from Endemol in the recent past; securing deals for “Football’s Next Star” and “Blue Moon Rising”. Fox will now be the home of the Dublin Super Cup across the United States and Canada.

Joshua Glassel, FOX Soccer’s Vice President of Programming and Acquisitions comments: “The Dublin Super Cup is an important jewel in FOX Soccer’s crown of summer programming. Our long-term agreement means The Dublin Super Cup will live on FOX Soccer for three years, which is exciting for us and even more so for our viewers.”

Gregg Oldfield, Managing Director of Endemol Sport comments: “We are thrilled to be partnering with a leading broadcaster like Fox to bring the Dublin Super Cup to soccer fans in the world’s biggest market. This is the second major international partnership we’ve announced for the tournament in recent weeks and we expect to finalise further deals soon.”

While the FOX deal is crucial to the publicising of the tournament, the SuperSport deal also see’s the Dublin Super Cup being broadcast in fifty-one territories across sub-Saharan Africa; creating another massive target audience for the Airtricity League XI to exhibit their skills to.

Oldfield once more seemed quite pleased about the deal, citing: ““We are proud to be partnering with a leading broadcaster like SuperSport to bring the Dublin Super Cup to soccer fans across Africa for the next three years. This is the third major international partnership we’ve recently announced for the tournament, further underlining the global scale of this event.”

Further deals to be announced in due course will see the 2011 Dublin Super Cup broadcast in over 130 territories across Asia, Middle East, Europe, Africa and the Americas.
