City announce signing of Burns

Cork City are pleased to announce the signing of Craig Burns.
The 19 year old central defender, who joined Cork City after a spell with Dundee United, captained the club’s youth team to victory in the FAI Youth Cup final recently.
Speaking to CorkCityFC.net, City boss Tommy Dunne said: “Craig is a strong central defender who is good on the air and is also good with the ball at his feet. He had a couple of injuries over the course of the season, but he has done very well and played extremely well in the FAI Youth Cup Final."
"I know that he has attracted some interest from other clubs, so we are pleased that he has signed. We have now signed three players from our FAI Cup winning Youth side, and I would hope that they settle in well and progress as they train with the first team. Craig has impressed in training, and I look forward to seeing him develop with us.”
