Waterford Utd continue fundraising push

Despite the recent sacking of manager Stephen Henderson, the show goes on for Waterford United with two big fundraisers in the pipeline.
A Casino night and a golf classic are planned for the near future for the club as League of Ireland clubs continue the task of finding the necessary fundraising needed to keep clubs going throughout the season.
The Blues Golf Classic, taking place once again on the Championship Course at Faithlegg Golf Club, on Friday, June 17th. continues to attract a strong field every year. The take-up of teams has been outstanding and with a reduction of €50 on last year, reflecting the recessionary times, the club will hope to attract more.
Also in the pipeline is the Blues Casino night organized by the club and the Blues Supporters Club which is being held in Revolution Bar in Waterford City. Originally scheduled for June, the event had been postponed and will now take place on Saturday 23rd of July but again the event should help the club financially in the long term.
