St Patrick's Athletic manager Pete Mahon was delighted to see his side win their third game in a row in the Airtricity Premier League which takes them up to fourth in the table.

“It was an excellent win for us. To win one game in this league is difficult but to win two on the bounce is great. I thought that over the 90 minutes we just shaded it. We hung on in the end but that was because Bray put so many players forward. I am happy with the performance and result”.

Mahon did admit that his side hadn't played as well as they have been recently but he was eager to look on the bright side. The Pats boss was also impressed with the match winning goal which was scored by Danny North.“ We didn't play as well as we have been. I thought in the first half both teams were sparring each other out. It looked a bit lethargic at times but I look at the positives. Bray are a good team. Thay have been on a great run since they beat us the last time. We kept a clean sheet and I thought it was a great goal we got. That goal would have won any match”.

Mahon also gave an injury update on both Conor Kenna and Dave Mulcahy. “Well Conor is going to see a specialist again tomorrow (Saturday). Dave Mulcahy has been getting intense treatment for the last couple of days. We hope to have both of them back very soon. Their two very important players for us”.

The Pats boss is happy with his team's recent run of form but knows that Monday's game against Shamrock Rovers will be the ultimate test.“All we can do is take it game by game. We had a bad start to the season. We've picked up in the last couple of games. We have to try and improve on last season and at least qualify for Europe. We're going in the right direction. It's another difficult match out of the way and it's three points away from home but we have very difficult games coming up now that is why it was crucial that we got the last three wins to give us a bit of confidence. However the biggest test of all is coming on Monday” concluded Mahon.
