Week 9

Credit:

Week 9 and Longshot is starting to feel some pressure to keep the profit healthy. This week I’m going for a quad that will pay around 13/1.

First off Dundalk (6/5) will attempt to stop Bray Wanderers’ flying start to the season at Oriel Park. The Seagulls have a 100% record away from home but the Lilywhites should take the points here.

Sligo, meanwhile, travel to Belfield to face a UCD team that haven’t been anything other than disappointing to date. While the table shows you that the Bit O’Red (4/6) are in fifth position, they are only three points off the top and should defeat the Students.

Bohemians play the form team in the league, Derry City, at home and while it would be very easy to sit on the fence and say it’s going to be a draw, let’s put my neck on the line here and say the home team look a good price at 11/8.

In the First Division surely it’s time for a Waterford United win. They play Wexford Youths away but it is quite evident that Stephen Henderson will have his side riled up, looking for their first win in four. Youths have been very poor to date and at 4/5 look a good price.

Longshot selections:
Dundalk to beat Bray Wanderers (6/5)
Sligo Rovers to beat UCD (4/6)
Bohemians to beat Derry City (11/8)
Waterford United to beat Wexford Youths (4/5)
