Second Round FAI Cup results

Sixteen clubs dreams of cup progression were put on the line on Sunday as the last games of the FAI Cup Second Round took place. Six clubs booked their place in the next round where they will take their place in the pot alongside 21 League of Ireland clubs. Two fixtures ended in draws.

A Championship sides FC Carlow and Fanad United were eliminated by Tallaght based Sacred Heart and Cork's Everton AFC respectively. This completed a disappointing weekend for the third tier league sides, with Cobh Ramblers exiting on Saturday night to Cherry Orchard and Tralee Dynamos facing a replay against Youghal United.
