As it Happens: EA Sports Cup

The EA Sports Cup is upon us, the competition better known in the annuls of the past as the League Cup continues tonight with seven ties down for decision. There is also one Setanta Cup clash which sees Sligo Rovers taking on Portadown in the Showgrounds.

There is one all Premier Division clash this evening in the Carlisle Grounds as Bray Wanderers take on Drogheda United, whilst there is some non-League giant killing hopes eminating from Galway, Kerry and Dublin as Cockhill Celtic face Galway United, Limerick travel to Kerry League abode and FC Carlow will look to stun First Division leaders Shelbourne in Tolka Park.

All the games kick off at 7.45pm with the exception of Shelbourne's game which starts at 8pm. To get you in the mood why not read Simon O'Gorman's League Cup column from last Saturday.
