Extratime.ie 2011 Columnists announced
ExtraTime.ie are pleased to announce our panel of columnists for the 2011 season.
First of all, we are delighted to have the opportunity to welcome Claire Tully on board. Claire, one of Ireland's best known models, is also a devout Shamrock Rovers fan and she will be sharing her views on the various "goings on" of the new league season each Wednesday morning.
In addition, recent Shelbourne signing Conan Byrne will be offering his views on the league with a column which will be available every Tuesday.
Continuing on from last season, Eamon Zayed will again be penning a weekly piece which will be posted on the site every Thursday, chronicling his first season with Stephen Kenny's Derry City.
We are also delighted to announce that Waterford United manager, Stephen Henderson, a man who could never be accused of being shy with his opinions, joins our panel for 2011.
Stephen says he will be “discussing various issues related to the league in terms of matches, part time football, full time football, management and many other aspects that I hope you will find interesting”. You can read Stephen's column every Thursday.
Monday will see ExtraTime Features Editor Alan Smith kick-off the working week with his "Offside" column, while colourful correspondent Simon O'Gorman will be sharing his thoughts with us every Saturday afternoon.
Finally, Fridays will see our regular in-house pundit providing you with the best tips for the weekend and he will be joined by RTÉ producer/reporter Damien O'Meara.
Presenter of the excellent “League of Ireland Football Show”, Damien said, “I'm really looking forward to going from being a fan with a microphone to being a fan on a laptop. There are 36 rounds of games in the top flight to look forward to and no doubt there will be tales of quality football, success and tragedy to talk about over the year. It might not always be plain sailing but perhaps we wouldn't love the League if it was”.
