A seventh place finish topped off a pretty successful season for Wexford Youths. With the league table split almost into two mini division, The Youths topped the lower half beating Harps to 7th by just one point.

The bad news for the Youths this season is the loss of Garry Sheahan. The striker has re-joined Limerick for the 2011 season and will league a huge gap in the squad. The signing of former Waterford United striker David Grincell will hopefully plug the hole. The electric pace of the youngster should help keep the Youths competition throughout the season. Shane Dempsey has also departed but Karl Keogh has joined from Shamrock Rovers and should be an excellent signing.

Pre-season wins against Drogheda United and Galway United have put the Youths in winning form coming into the new season. With Finn Harps, Longford Town and Athlone Town all having strengthened, it will be another tough season for this young and talented Wexford Youths side.
