Mervue United beat Salthill Devon

Johnny Glynn's Mervue United side opened their pre-season with a 1-0 win over First Division city rivals, Salthill Devon, at a very cold Drom Soccer Park on Friday night.
A second half Barry McEntee goal was the only score of the game as the visitors ran out narrow winners on the night as both sides tried out plenty of players in the game.
Next up is another away game when fellow First Division club Limerick FC provide the opposition in Ennis at Lifford FC's grounds next Saturday afaternoon at 2 p.m.
