Blues add two more for new season
Waterford United have added two more players to their squad for the 2011 Airtricity League First Division season.
Gary Keane and Brian Nolan are the latest two players to be signed bringing the squad to 17 players ahead of pre-season training commencing next Tuesday.
Keane made the move to the Blues first team last season having been with the Under-20 squad the previous season. Likewise with Nolan, who spent last season with the Blues youngsters and Stephen Henderson has seen enough to merit a first team contract for the player.
Stephen Henderson has also confirmed players from last season’s squad that won’t be returning next season. James O’Sullivan, Timmy Purcell and Vinny Sullivan will all not be returning while Alan Carey has joined Cork City and Paul McCarthy has returned to local club Tramore AFC.
The Blues hopes to add another two players to the squad before the start of the season.
