Waterford Utd reduce admission prices
Waterford United have announced a reduction in season ticket prices for the 2011 First Division season. The club have released details of a reduction to general admission prices in the hope of raising attendances at the RSC.
“Waterford United have tonight announced details of the ticket prices for the 2011 season. The cost of an adult season ticket has come down to €150, with concessions at €85 and children at €35. Various family packages will also be available with commensurate savings. It is expected that there will be 17 home games in 2011, one more than this past season.”
“The season tickets will be available from John Ryan's shop on Patrick Street in the city, and online from the club website, from this Friday, November 26th. Ticket prices on match nights have also been reduced, to €10 for adults, €6 concessions, and €3 for kids.”
“The move reflects the tough economic times we find ourselves in, and the club are mindful of the cost of supporting the Blues for our fans. They are also most mindful of the need to increase home gates to make up for the reduction in ticket prices. The aim for the season will be to boost attendances so that revenue levels don't drop in comparison to last season, and in fact increase significantly which can only benefit the Blues.”
“The club believes the new price structure will make it more affordable for fans to come along to the RSC to cheer on the team.”
