Carlisle Grounds incident to be probed
The FAI have confirmed that they have begun an investigation into the collapse of part of the wall surrounding the pitch at the Carlisle Grounds on Monday night.
The section collapsed as Monaghan United fans celebrated a goal in the promotion/relegation play-off second leg when the wall collapsed inward towards the pitch. This is the second time a section of the wall has collapsed at the venue after a similar incident when Shamrock Rovers visited last season.
The FAI statement read:

As part of this investigation, an engineer will carry out a site inspection today (Tuesday) following which, a report will be submitted to the FAI.
The FAI will also be receiving a match delegates report and based on the information provided, will be making appropriate recommendations to the club.
