Keegan appointed as new PFAI Chairman

The PFAI today confirmed the appointment of Bohemian FC midfielder Paul Keegan as its new Chairman. He replaces Stephen Rice who had to step down due to his new employment with the FAI.

On his appointment Paul said “It is a tremendous honour to become the Chairman of the PFAI. I have firsthand experience of the difficulties facing the players nowadays, having faced problems at Leeds United, Drogheda United and now Bohemians. I know what an important role the Union plays in these situations and I’m delighted to be able to play my part.”

General Secretary Stephen McGuinness said “Paul is a model professional and one of the top players in the league. He is the ideal figure head for our Association and I look forward to working with him and the new committee in the year ahead.”
